 For
an immediate taste of Istanbul, leave your bags in your room and take
the opportunity to enjoy the magnificent views of the Old City and the
Sea of Marmara from the Terrace on the third floor (open 24 hours a day).
If the weather is pleasant, sit down and try a rakı, the traditional Turkish
anise-flavored drink, and if you are hungry, order the "Çilingir
Tray," an assortment of mezes, small portions of Turkish appetizers.
Weather permitting, you may also like to have dinner on the Terrace, or
if it is chilly, in the adjacent Sera Restaurant which provides the same
magnificent views. Alternatively, you could just relax with a drink in
the Guest Lounge on the ground floor, which celebrates the popular radio
days of the 1950s.
