4th Day, "The Bosphorus"
 Take
a taxi to the Eminönü Pier where the Bogazici (Bosphorus) ferry departs
at 10.30 a.m. The ferry zigzags between the European and Asian coasts
of the Bosphorus, a beautiful and relaxing ride and the best way to see
the lovely historic "yalı"s, waterside villas, along the shore...
Some of these wonderful old villas have been rebuilt and others restored
to their original style; still others are simply fighting a battle with
time alongside their more contemporary new neighbors.
Lunch
 Disembark
from the ferry at the last stop, Anadolu Kavağı. It will be around 12
o'clock, so you could walk up to the ruins of the Anatolian fortress (about
1 hour, there and back) and then have lunch at one of the many fish restaurants
–Yedigül Restaurant will be the one that we recommend- along the waterfront,
taking the 3.00 p.m. ferry back to Eminönü and the Armada...
Dinner
 After
a rest, how about dinner at the Sera? The magnificent views from the Terrace
Restaurant can be equally enjoyed during the winter in the adjacent glass-enclosed
Sera Restaurant, which serves traditional Istanbul cuisine in this enchanting
setting.
